I have to say that I really enjoyed this book very much. I read reviews on this where some didn't like it and some couldn't finish the book and even though I read them something about this book jumped out at me. Yes at first it is not what you would expect I agree there. But the passion in this authors writing kept me wanting to read more. I admit the forced wedding ceremony kind of had me thinking cause it was like the bride and groom in a shot gun wedding and no one wanted to be there. I just didn't get that part till the book started to explain it in the end. But what really kept me turning the pages was the daughter Sam she just brought the book to life for me. Her nickname "bug" was funny and enjoyable.I know this is a series read but the ending could have in my opinion should have wanted me to keep reading. It had no real ending to me and no further WOW factor to find out what is too come. An epilogue would have been good too..
In the end the author had me and I would tell anyone that wants a slow take off book to pick this book up and you won't be disappointed when you read about Joanie, Julian and Sam a.k.a. bug in the book.
Enjoy I know I did..

Passionate Bid A Contemporary Erotic Romance BlueEyed Four Book 1 edition by Tierney O'Malley Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I Would love that this book had more Pages, but i loved the book, well done. Loved the main caracters and their story.
I enjoyed this book tremendously. Second chances are sometimes perfect futures. I love it that he immediately felt a connection to Sam.
This may be the worst book I ever tried to read. The writing is clumsy and worse than any of those old Harlequin romances where the heroine takes him back after he does everything he can to hurt her. Finishing books I start is important, even if I just scan them. This was so bad that I actually had a DNF. It is edited so there are few errors, but... The hero has only one good trait He loves his grandmother. He is supposed to be a Vet in Manhattan, but the man is crude, superficial, and has no redeeming features as a love interest. The love scenes were like watching a gross porno. He seduces the heroine when she was 16 and he was graduating from college. He blamed her and was forced to marry her after taking her virginity by her father and his grandmother. Then he leaves her and never looks back. Then they introduce the secret baby, needs money plot. There are so many things wrong with this book, I don't know where to begin. Grandmother makes him marry young girl then never says anything when he abandons her the same day to go to Florida. Sleazy model girlfriend is screwing his lawyer. The crudeness overflows in this story. Save your money, I plan to get mine back.
Loved this story! IT was a great read with just the right amount of angst and drama. She wasn't pulling the story along for dramatic purposes, every plot point was paced perfectly! I really need more!!!
It was good but pretty far fetched. I loved Sam! The general plot was kind of far fetched and hard to believe at times. I wished the characters and the back story were more developed, sometimes I didn't know how things got to the way they were and never really figured it out. Also the character pov wasnt well defibed and I had to go bacl alot to make sure I knew whose pov o was reading. There were alot of unfinished situations and some wtf moments. Also needed more of an ending or some kind of epiloge!!!
I didn't love this book but I didn't hate it either. I liked the concept of the story but the characters felt a little flat. I also struggled with some of the dialogue, real people just don't talk that way. I also felt it was somewhat hard to follow and know exactly who was speaking at times. Don't think I will be following up with any of the other books in this series though.
I read this book a while back. I have a guilty pleasure for these type of scenarios. I thought the author did a nice job making you forgive the hero in the end. I also liked the fact that the hero doesn't take the whole to discover is feelings. I loved the amount of steam the author wrote... hot and heavy without dragging on. I just recently reread the book and was surprised to see she is doing a series and she re released this one (not sure if there is much difference in my copy). Overall I enjoyed this one. Not too long and angsty. Just a quick read that made you smile and yell, sometimes at the same time. But was excited to see the HEA. I will continue reading the rest in the series.
